Reichert Announces 2015 Service Academy Appointees

Jun 9, 2015

Washington, D.C. – This week, U.S. Congressman Dave Reichert announced the names of the young men and women who received appointments to United States Service Academies from the 8th District of Washington. He honored them at a reception yesterday, recognizing the hard work and the many requirements they had to meet in order to earn a nomination, let alone an appointment. In addition to being outstanding scholars, these students have all demonstrated excellent leadership skills and a commitment to community service.

Rep. Reichert said, “I could not be more proud of the young people who will be attending service academies from our district next year. Not only have they voluntarily chosen extremely stringent courses of study, they have signed contracts with their nation to serve her and know that they may be called upon to make many sacrifices along the way.  I wish them all the very best as they enter this new phase of their life, and I know that they will have bright and successful futures.”
