Reichert Statement on DHS Appropriations Passage

Washington, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Dave Reichert (WA-8) issued the following statement after today's vote to pass a clean appropriations bill for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS):

“Today, I stood with House colleagues from both sides of the aisle to pass a bill that will fully fund the DHS through the end of the fiscal year. I believe that this is the responsible way to govern – not playing politics with our nation’s security and protection. There will be an avenue to address the President’s wrongful executive actions on immigration, through the courts and elsewhere, but it should not be used as a tool to jeopardize the safety of the American people.”
